Pangpang, The Pug – The Most Paw’some Influencer on Social Media!
You might have a few favourite influencers, but once you meet Pangpang, The Pug he'll surely overcome all of them and claim the apex position in your heart. Meet the heartthrob who is smash hit on social media - Pangpang, The Pug!
'Paw'some Pangpang - Love at first sight
We got Pangpang on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) in 2017. I had been searching for a Pug who looked like my first Pug whom I had lost a few years earlier. I finally found the perfect Pug online and arranged to collect him on 26th December. But I didn't tell Helen as I wanted it to be a surprise. Instead, I told her we were going for a Chinese buffet so she got really excited. When we arrived she said, "This is a house - it's not even a restaurant." She soon forgot about the buffet when she saw our new addition to the family - Pug style!
I think she fell in love with him instantly, just like I did. He was (and still is) such a handsome boy with his chocolate brown coat and big, soulful eyes. He has such an adorable face that it's impossible not to fall in love with him. Even though he's not my first Pug, he's definitely my favourite.
Pangpang - Social Media Sensation
Pangpang quickly became a social media sensation and now has almost 100,000 followers on Instagram. It all started when we posted some pictures of him on our personal Instagram account. Our friends and family loved seeing pictures of him so we decided to create an account just for him. We never expected that he would become so popular but we're so glad that he has because it brings us so much joy to see people enjoy looking at pictures of our little puggy-wuggly!
On his TikTok, Instagram, Youtube and Facebook pages, we adore sharing Pangpang's pugventures. It all began as a method for him to share his photos and videos with our family who fell in love with Pangpang as a puppy. Since then, he's made friends from across the world who enjoy keeping up with his daily pug adventures while also providing some much-needed levity.
We also broadcast live everyday during the UK lockdown. His adorable face (particularly his huge eyes and ears that flap around when he's running), jovial disposition, pug kisses, and constantly growing variety of stylish dog clothing are all endearing.
During a Mario Kart-inspired racing, he consumed a line of blueberries at what appeared to be record-breaking speed. In a Mario Kart competition, in 2020, two-year-old Pangpang was filmed by his owner Dan Smith, 34, in their London home devouring his favourite food in a bowl. At the conclusion of the race, Pangpang chases after a line of blueberries at breakneck speed before gobbling them up.
A Gourmet for all social media platforms
Dan Smith describes "his four-year-old fawn pug" as a 'foodie' and the videos also show PangPang munching broccoli, cauliflower, banana, raspberries, strawberries and his favourite blueberries.
Dan continued, 'Pangpang the Pug enjoys a treat and devours it at breakneck speed. We came up with the idea of turning it into a game to make treat time more entertaining and engaging.' 'Pangpang was eager to go and, as soon as he got started, destroyed the blueberries in a record amount of time. He's a real food-eating champion.'
He has since completed and uploaded another Mario Kart challenge with Pangpang, placing cucumber wedges as well as blueberries along a short garden wall. Fans may follow Pangpang's exploits on YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter, where he has millions of followers. They can even contact his agency for appearances through his website.
Pangpang is also a popular Instagram subject among pug lovers, with individuals drawing and painting him in adorable images and sketches.
Cracking the Instagram algorithm one post at a time, and being a game star
We started with Instagram since I was completely new to it and had no prior expertise. But Pangpang's cuteness and hilarious personality encouraged me to continue, and his following grew steadily. During the UK lockdown, the account expanded rapidly, resulting in commercials, TV appearances, a place in the computer game "Double Pug Switch," and other intriguing opportunities.
The Polygon Loft, creators of the Double Pug Switch, has teamed up with pug enthusiast PangPang. The idea of the game relies on Pangpang's endless chase of his favourite foods. To commemorate the occasion, it gives away a discount on the game.
Pangpang has 88,000 Instagram followers (we had a viral post this month which has reached 37 million views, so his account is rapidly increasing), and we're getting closer to our objective of 100k Instagram friends. Pangpang has also appeared in a number of viral videos, which helped dog lovers from all around the world learn about him. Meanwhile, his TikTok account didn't start out well but eventually grew to 500k followers after about two years. We're hoping that his Youtube channel reaches 10k subscribers soon.
However, what matters most is the fact that he has such wonderful friends all around the world. They check in to see how he's doing, suggest fun things to do with Pangpang, and genuinely care about his happiness and well-being, which means a lot to us. We also appreciate it when Pangpang's pals send us their drawings of Pangpang; we enjoy sharing these on Instagram stories!
A legendary and hilarious mix is an unbeatable combination.
Pangpang adores snatching our slippers and has damaged many pairs of slippers throughout his existence, as he bites them like a toy. Pangpang is such a thrill-seeker that he's constantly up to no good. He's a repeat offender when it comes to gorging on food. When you're eating, he'll knock something over and then if you forget to push in your chair at the table, he'll spring up and grab whatever he can. When it was pug bath time, he used to zoom around the garden doing zoomies, which resulted in one of my favorite Instagram posts of Helen attempting to capture him for a bath.
It's a dog's life!
Pangpang always demands five more minutes of sleep when he first rises and performs some spectacular yawns. It's time for breakfast when he wakes up. He gets really animated about mealtime, frequently running away with his bowl after finishing his food. It's time for a walk afterward, and he will constantly stop and refuse to go further unless he receives a treat.
It's time for a pug nap - usually between our legs while we're sitting at the table. It's time for his second walk and play time, where he enjoys running about a lot in the afternoon. In the evening, he jumps on the sofa to give pug kisses before falling asleep on my legs. He likes to sleep in various locations depending on the weather.
Raising a pug with love and care
Pugs are excellent family pets. Due to Pangpang's kind disposition, folks frequently stop to greet him. They are a lot more lively than they appear and enjoy snuggles any time you're sitting down. Because pugs can be stubborn at times, it's critical to begin their training early on. It is vital that you maintain their eyes, wrinkles, ears, and paws clean in order to preserve good health. You must also keep an eye on their meals since pugs are naturally greedy dogs who don't want to get overweight.
Pugs are comical, lively, and intelligent dogs that make excellent family pets. Please note, that they do require quite a lot of grooming and patience is required during training. If you are looking for a cuddly, loving companion, then a pug may be the perfect dog for you!
Pangpang is the best pug ever, and we are so lucky to have him in our lives. If you're thinking of getting a pug, and your situation is suited to caring for a dog, then I’d highly recommend it! You won't regret it. Trust us, your life will be infinitely better with a pug by your side. Thanks for reading and feel free to follow Pangpang's adventures on social media!
P.S. If you want to get a pug of your own, then please adopt! There are so many pugs in need of good homes. Please don't support puppy mills by buying from a breeder. Adopt, don't shop! ♥️♥️
