01. Trust before convenience

We do not lower safety standards simply to make a process faster or easier.

02. Safety is our responsibility

Young people should not carry the responsibility for identifying and managing every risk they may encounter on a platform.

03. We collect only what we need

We minimise the amount of personal data we collect and retain, and we do not sell personal data to advertisers.

04. Verification should fail safely

When required age or identity checks cannot be completed with sufficient confidence, access is not granted until the necessary verification has taken place.

05. Parents and guardians are partners

Parents and guardians have an important role, but they should not be expected to operate or moderate the platform on our behalf.

06. Technology supports human judgement

Technology helps us identify risk and manage content at scale. It does not remove human responsibility from important moderation decisions.

07. People remain accountable

Trained moderators have the authority to review, confirm and overturn automated moderation outcomes.

08. Important decisions should be reviewable

Significant safety and moderation decisions should be documented, traceable and capable of being reviewed.

09. Safety systems should be resilient

We design our systems to avoid unnecessary dependency on a single technology or verification provider.

10. Trust must be continuously earned

We review and improve our systems as technology, regulation, risks and the needs of our community change.
