Meet Leah Nieman - A Great Resource for Parents
Today we would like to introduce you to Leah Nieman, a distinguished speaker who offers advice and tools to parents and teens about how to deal with technology and social media. We do believe that “It Takes a Village” to raise children especially in this challenging and fast changing digital world. As a company dedicated to helping children be good digital citizens, we also like to share valuable resources with parents when we find them. So we are especially pleased to tell you about Leah Nieman.
Leah is an insightful woman dedicated to providing parents and families with tips and practical advice on the latest apps, safety and social media. Leah’s site and Facebook page have become a regular stop for us and many others who wish to be informed and to help their kids navigate the digital wild west.
Leah has covered Kudos as well as a number of other apps that parents should know about. She also provides how-tos on new features to existing apps, information on what devices are best suited for varying age groups, and suggestions for the types of conversations you can have with your kids about their online behavior. Think of her site as a parent playbook with so many resources including up-to-date social media and technology news for families, a weekly Tech Talk for Parents Newsletter and Tech Talk Conversation Cards which include over 50 questions on technology, social media, cyberbullying and sexting.
We also suggest checking out her Facebook page where she often shares Facebook Live videos on news and reviews. We are all busy and may not have the time to keep up with all of the latest updates to Facebook or SnapChat and what they mean to our families, but you can be sure that Leah has. Check out her helpful videos like: Facebook and Snapchat news and Snapchat's Public Groups Function-Heads Up Parents. We love the format and will be rolling out a Facebook live collaboration with Leah in the near future.
