1. Our Principles
Spotlite is built around the protection and well-being of young people.
We work to maintain an age-appropriate environment, reduce harmful interactions, protect minors from exploitation and abuse, encourage respectful communication, and enforce our rules consistently and fairly.
Safety is prioritized above engagement, popularity, or visibility within the platform.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You may only use Spotlite if you comply with these Terms and are legally permitted to use digital services under applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
Users below the applicable local minimum digital age may only access Spotlite through guardian-approved onboarding and verification processes where required.
Spotlite may apply different safety restrictions, interaction permissions, visibility settings, and feature access depending on age group, jurisdiction, verification status, account trust level, moderation history, and safety signals.
We reserve the right to request additional verification or limit access where necessary to protect users or comply with applicable laws.
3. Accounts and Identity
Users must provide accurate and truthful information and keep account credentials secure.
Users may not impersonate another person or organization, create fake or misleading identities, access another user’s account without permission, or attempt to bypass moderation or safety systems.
Users are responsible for all activity that occurs through their accounts.
4. Community Rules
Users must treat others respectfully and safely.
The following behavior is prohibited on Spotlite:
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, humiliation, hate speech, discrimination, grooming, predatory conduct, threats, coercion, blackmail, exploitation of minors, sharing private information without consent, encouraging dangerous or illegal behavior, and sharing violent, sexual, exploitative, or pornographic content.
Users may only upload content they have permission to share.
Users may not upload images, videos, or personal information relating to another person without appropriate consent.
Where legally required, parental or guardian consent must also be obtained before sharing content involving minors.
Users must not post private or confidential information, including home addresses, non-public phone numbers, financial information, passwords, government identification numbers, or personal information belonging to others without permission.
5. Messaging, Groups, and Social Interaction
Spotlite uses age-aware and trust-aware interaction controls.
Messaging, discoverability, group participation, recommendations, and social interaction permissions may depend on relationship status, mutual connections, account classification, trust level, moderation state, age group, and safety settings.
Spotlite may limit or prevent unsolicited contact, restrict communication between certain account categories, disable messaging features, limit visibility or discoverability, and apply additional protections for younger users.
Content shared within groups or public community areas may be visible to broader audiences within those spaces.
Users are responsible for understanding the visibility settings of the content they share.
6. Moderation and Safety Enforcement
Spotlite operates active moderation and safety systems designed to maintain platform integrity and user protection.
Content or accounts may be reviewed, restricted, limited in visibility, placed into safety review, removed, suspended, or permanently disabled where necessary to protect users or enforce these Terms.
Enforcement decisions may consider severity of behavior, risk to minors, repeated violations, platform integrity concerns, user safety signals, and legal obligations.
Spotlite reserves the right to take action without prior notice where necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
7. Reporting and User Safety
Users may report content, accounts, conversations, groups, safety concerns, or suspected abuse or exploitation.
Spotlite may prioritize reports involving minors, exploitation risks, threats of violence, self-harm concerns, or coordinated abuse.
We may cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, child protection organizations, or other authorities where required by law or necessary to protect users.
8. Content Ownership and License
Users retain ownership of content they create and upload.
By submitting content to Spotlite, users grant Rocket Brands a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, distribute, reproduce, adapt, moderate, and operate such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
Users represent that they own or have the rights necessary to share submitted content and that such content does not violate applicable laws or infringe the rights of others.
Users remain responsible for their content and conduct.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Spotlite processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
We implement age-appropriate privacy protections and safety measures designed to reduce unnecessary exposure of minors’ personal information.
10. Availability and Platform Changes
We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
Spotlite continuously develops and updates moderation systems, safety features, visibility rules, interaction controls, and technical infrastructure.
We are not obligated to permanently store user content or maintain indefinite access to any feature or material.
Users are encouraged to maintain backups of important content.
11. Intellectual Property
The Spotlite name, logos, designs, graphics, software, technology, trademarks, and platform elements are protected by intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted, users may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service.
12. Third-Party Services
Spotlite may contain integrations, links, or connections to third-party services or websites.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.
Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Spotlite is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.
While we implement reasonable measures designed to maintain a safe and secure environment, no online platform can guarantee absolute safety, uninterrupted operation, or error-free functionality.
To the extent permitted by law, Rocket Brands shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of reputation, loss of opportunity, loss of data, user conduct, third-party actions, unauthorized access, or platform interruptions.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Spotlite at any time if users violate these Terms, safety risks are identified, legal obligations require action, or platform integrity is threatened.
Users may stop using Spotlite at any time.
Certain provisions of these Terms survive termination, including safety enforcement, intellectual property protections, limitation of liability, and legal compliance obligations.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Where appropriate, we may notify users of material changes through the app, website, email, or other communication methods.
Continued use of Spotlite after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations relevant to the jurisdictions in which Spotlite operates.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer, privacy, or child protection rights under applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms were originally written in English. In the event of conflict between translations, the English version shall prevail.
